Friends Of The Library

The Friends of the Hudson Area Library is a non-profit 501(c)3 group of dedicated library volunteers. Our goal is to enhance, expand and promote our library's services and resources.

Used books are available year around in the Friends Book Store, which is open during regular library hours all year long. It is located in the adult section of the library on the second floor.

You can further contribute to the library by donating your gently used books, DVDs, CDs, magazines and unused greeting cards. Donations may be tax deductible and donation receipts are provided on the donation table at the rear of the second floor.

Another way to contribute to the Hudson Library is to save your Family Fresh grocery store receipts and put them in the Family Fresh collection jar at the main circulation desk. For every $150,000 in receipts, Family Fresh donates $1,000 to the Friends of the Library and this money is then used to support the library and it's programs.

Also consider joining the Friends of the Library. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm and we have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities with flexible hours. There is something for everyone to do. Training is provided and no expertise is required.
